On Saturday we set up a booth at the flea market again. It was pretty nice. It wasn’t too hot and Jace did really well considering he refused to nap there. It is always the things we don’t think will sell that goes first.
After the flea market was the mad rush to go home unload and pack and reload the car to go fishing. We did pretty good, the only things forgotten was a cell phone charger and the pack n play. We got to Port Lavaca later than we were hoping and met my mom at her hotel room.
The first few places we stopped to get bait at were all out. By the time we found some and got to the beach it was super dark. Jace was interested in hearing the ocean at first but I don’t think he liked how dark it was. Patrick and I like night fishing but sitting in the car with Jace while holding my fishing pole isn’t as fun. After a little while we just went back to the room and decided to try again tomorrow.
Sunday morning we went to the pier and Jace loved looking at the water and seagulls. After we were done fishing we let him walk in the sand and touch the water. He would dig his toes in the sand while he was walking and kick the sand. Port Lavaca had this cool kiddie splash pad thing. It had water squirting out everywhere. We took Jace right before we headed back and he LOVED IT! Patrick and I got soaked. We were just in our shorts because we weren’t planning on getting in the water. But it was so worth it and an awesome ending to the weekend .
We didn’t get home Sunday night till almost 1am. Everyone was super sleepy yesterday and poor Patrick had to work. Last night was pretty relaxing though. Went for a walk then we all snuggled and played in the living room until bedtime.
