Thanksgiving has already came and passed. Tomorrow is the first day of December! (Ok now it’s today since it took me 2 days to finish this!) We spent the holiday visiting family, eating good food, waking up on a deflated air mattress, and probably spending too much on Jace’s Christmas presents on Black Friday.
We spent Saturday resting and went to pick out our tree late that afternoon. Jace was so excited and couldn’t stop talking about putting lights, balls, and a star on it. This is probably the earliest we have ever put up a tree but I want to make sure it gets done before the baby makes her arrival.
I made our little family Thanksgiving dinner that night. When we bounce between Patrick’s family and mine we miss out on actually getting to cook, which is one of my favorite parts of the holidays. I want to make sure I get to share it with Jace so I try to always have a smaller family meal to cook as a family when we get home.
This year I have so much to be thankful for… Every little (or big) kick in the ribs, this little boy who knows just the right way to drive mommy crazy, and an amazing husband that goes through it all with me. This little girl is making our little family a little bigger and I couldn’t be happier. Jace is by far the most stubborn but sweetest little boy. He makes me so proud to be his mommy. Today he even managed a smile and said “Thank you mommy!” After I handed him a bowl to throw up in! (I’m also thankful he just had a tummy ache and it wasn’t a bug!)
I’m thankful that I’m blessed to have someone to go through it all with me. Patrick is the best part of me. His weirdness somehow matches my own. ? And while he can drive me absolutely crazy and knows just the right buttons to push he is mine. 🙂 He helps me keep our crazy amazing life together.
