So yesterday I attempted to make Mac and Cheese for the first time. It came out pretty good and it was soooo easy to make. Yesterday was me and Patrick’s 4th anniversary. We have been so busy running around lately that we decided to stay home tonight and go out to dinner on Saturday when he is off. So we had sausage and mac and cheese.
There is a small place by Patrick’s work that always puts jalapeno in the mac and cheese and we LOVE it. So I decided I was going to try to add some to our and it turned out pretty good.
Crock Pot Jalapeno Mac and Cheese
- 16 oz Colby Jack Cheese cubed
- 8 oz Cream Cheese cubed ( i only used fat-free because they were out of regular)
- 2 jalapenos diced
- 2 cups Whole Milk
- 2 tablespoons Butter or Margarine
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs
- 3/4 Bag Elbow Macaroni
I diced the jalapenos, and cubed the cheese and put it in the crock pot on low. I stirred in 2 cups of milk and butter. I pre cooked the macaroni in boiling water for about 5 minutes then drained it and added it to the crock pot. About 1.5 hours later I stirred it then put it into bowls and sprinkled bread crumbs on top.
